discharge after period:

so i finished my period a few days ago. (i am on birthcontrol and i did slip my placebo pills for about 4 months and recently had a period) i had sex the day it was stopping (there was no more blood) but a few days after well recently i've had a milky white discharge and it's normal for me but it doesn't smell to great which isn't normal. it's not awfully strong just doesn't seem 100% normally for me. i got some pills that maintain the bacteria and flora in the vagina and i've been on them for about 2 days. should i treat it like a yeast/bv infection? or could it be something else? and i'm sleeping with my boyfriend, so i highly doubt it's std. thank you:))
