Hyperinsulinima

🗡M

I went to the doctors today to see if they could give me a reason as to why my blood sugar drops at random times and when I eat sugary food. So they testing my insulin levels, my averge glucose over a 30 day period and my thyroid.

Test results come back and turns out my pancreas is creating too much insulin and has been for a good bit. I was also told that I also have a very increased risk for developing diabetes in the future.

My hyperinsulinima is not caused by a tumor so in short what I am having to do is 1. Go on a low glycemic index diet and 2. Monitor my blood sugar even more closely than I had been to begin with.

Does anyone else have this? Could you give me an inisght into your life and how it affects you on a daily basis? Possibly advice?

Thank you in advanced.
