12 weeks to early to find out gender?

I was planning on going to a early gender scan and then have a little gender reveal party a few days later with family and friends. 
12 weeks to early? Or should I wait until 14?

Blood test would be more definitive at 12w. Otherwise you should wait til closer to the 18-20week mark for an accurate scan.

I would wait. I mean, they told us at 12 weeks it was a girl, but We waited until 21 weeks for our anatomy scan to actually confirm it and tell our family.

I say wait till 14, but I just turned 15 weeks & had a sono done & doc told me 80% chance it's a girl (I have 2 boys btw) maybe by then baby will show itself! Good luck tho! 😊👍🏻

I got an early scan done around 14 weeks and it was wrong. I was told a boy, looked like a penis and all and was really a girl at my 20 week appointment. I personally wouldn't recommend an early scan at all because it was wrong for me. I had her check many many times after that, 3 white lines and was definitely a girl!

12 weeks isn't the most accurate even at 14-16 it's iffy because the labia on a girl may still be swollen and look more like a penis.

my sister was told my neice was a girl at 12w, but honestly i wouldnt bank on an accurate scan at 12w. its literally hit or miss. i personally waited until 16w5d when i knew baby was developed.

Definitely wait until at least past 13 weeks, probably 15-16 would be better!
