Huntington's Disease

Li

I occasionally help out at work in the company respite centre - a place where mostly disabled and a few elderly go for the day so their carers can have a break. Today I met a girl who is in a wheelchair, non-vocal and (after reading her files) can be incredibly aggressive and powerful. She's 32 years old, and five years ago she was an accountant. I read that she had Huntington's Disease and I didn't know much about it so I had a quick look online to see exactly what it is and how it effects them. After reading that it's a genetic mutation passed down from parents, I asked my husband what we would do if we knew there was a chance we would pass down this disease. So my question is - if you knew there was a high chance of your child inheriting this terrible disease, would you still have children? Why/Why not?
