Friend's baby cleared for staph; Still scared of risks...

My friend just had her baby 2 weeks ago, the baby ended up having to stay 10 days in the NICU because somehow she contracted staph and her blood tests came back positive for it. My friend had GBS but her blood culture came back negative... The baby has been cleared for staph and all blood tests came back negative, so they sent her home. I'm wanting to go and visit her and the baby, but I have a 15 week old son and I'm scared that there's still a risk for contagion even though her blood tests showed she didn't have staph... WHAT DO I DO?
