I told him, no pics

I wanted to update my pictures because I haven't had pictures done since 2009. I've been with this guy since 2013 and we don't have any pictures together, not 1. So he asked if he could join me and I told him no, these are for family for the holidays. He doesn't include me in during the holidays or be around his family, so I told him no. He has no intentions on going further with me, he just wants a companion. He hasn't changed his mind on it either, so I slowly started pulling myself away and drawing distance. Was I wrong for telling him no?
