Mexico and Zika

Hi all! I know this is a controversial issue but I'm looking for anyone that has traveled to Mexico while pregnant and been fine.

We booked a trip for October to Puerto Vallarta, my family who lives in a different part of Mexico will be meeting us there.... we've had a really hard few weeks with my grandma passing away and she was supposed to be at this trip too.

I know I have to protect myself and wear bug spray and long sleeves etc.... I even called the resort we are staying at and Concierge Lady that answered said she's never heard about Zika and she transferred me to someone else who said there haven't been new cases in 2 years around there.

I know sometimes news are blown out of proportion and I feel confident I can protect myself and be okay, plus I really need to see my family and need that closure from my grandmas passing but my husband has been reading tons of stuff online and is thinking we should cancel.
