What does newborn wear at night ?

Hi, as a first time mom I am wondering what should my baby wear at night .. 
I live in LA and my due date is October 26 .. the weather is hit or miss during that time. 
I have a bunch of flannel pjs 
Only 3 light newborn pjs ( Do I need more ? ) 
And a bunch of onesies 
I was thinking of onesie plus swaddle but I heard not to swaddle at night so I'm getting confused .,

you can swaddle up until they start to wiggle around. get sleep sacs. they last a long time and are basically a wearable blanket. halo makes a fantastic one and also a great swaddle/blanket hybrid that I cannot recommend enough. I also live in LA and it's soooooo hot but we keep our house cold at night so little man is either in a full body onesie and a sleeveless sleep sack or a regular onesie and a fleece sleep sack with arms.  babies learn to regulate their temp after maybe a week so if you're chilly, they are. if you're hot, they are. the first few days dress them a bit warmer than you

I plan to use the onesies that snap on the side for easy diaper changes and socks...I loved swaddling my daughter so that's what I'll probably do with my baby boy. She always slept so good wrapped up tight.

Ours hated being swaddles so we do the footless rompers with sleeves and he's comfy in those for cooler temps, when warmer just a onesie

Following cause I was just thinking about this today! Live in a similar climate in California and due early November, we're on the same page lol

I use the halo swaddle sleepsack and it's incredible. I'm in NJ, where it gets hot. I have just a cotton one for now and into fall a fleece one.
