1st Trimester

So I went to my dr appointment on this past Monday and I was told that I am 8 weeks pregnant, I had an ultrasound done but there was no fetal heartbeat detected. Could this mean that it's too late for my baby? or that it's too early. The dr said she was sorry and that she could give me a pill to help me pass my baby or she can perform a d/c on me. I have no bleeding, no pain, no cramping I'm still having nausea and so does my husband. Me and my husband decided to get a second opinion. This is the first time that anything like this has happened to me, I'm so scared but at the same time I'm keeping my faith and praying to GOD for a blessed outcome. I know JESUS has the final say so. I was just wondering if anybody else has experienced anything like this.
