Stay at home or working mom?

Just wondering who here stays at home and who works and what are your thoughts on it? How do you like it? What don't you like?
I'm a stay at home and while I love spending time with my daughter the routine can get boring at times and I feel like I'm always trying to find something to occupy us both while my husband is working.

I do both! I'm self employed and work from home. So I get to be wiry my daughter all day while also making money and contributing to our household and all that. I couldn't do just one or the other. It's not an option in my mind to just be a SAHM. Nothing against them, but like you mentioned, I'd be so bored. We literally have the BEST child ever so there's sometimes really not much to do haha and then I couldn't possibly put her in daycare. So this works perfectly for us 😊

I stay at home and love it. plenty to do to stay occupied! laundry, meal prep, cleaning, playing with baby..napping 😉

I stay home. we couldn't afford daycare (oddly enough since I was working in one 😏) no family nearby.. and I tried going back part time once maternity leave was over but it wasn't working for any of us. my husband was exhausted (he works nights and for a few weeks they had me working at 7:30am) that also meant sometimes I would leave before my daughter even woke up which killed me. I felt like we were out of sync, I never knew why she was fussy when I'd get home. we probably would have struggled through if there weren't a straw that broke the camel's back. on a teacher training day where I would have only had to come in for 4 hours and watch videos, no kids in the center, I asked right when I came back to work for that day off as I knew my husband had plans and wouldn't have childcare. didn't even consider tgat it was a mandatory meeting day. I realized that on my own and asked SEVERAL times if i could bring my then 4 month old for the few hours I'd be there. I didn't get an answer until one week before the day 😬 I talked to my husband that weekend and together we made the decision to give up my measly income. it just wasn't worth it.       I absolutely love being with my daughter, now 7 months,  BUT there are definitely drawbacks to this new life. I've lost all freedom whatsoever. I feel like a nag on my husband when he wants to drop $100 On a leisure item or go out to eat all the time and I'm over here trying to do surveys to earn $10 at a ttime to MAYBE get a special Christmas or birthday present for her. he's always worrying about money or losing his job (which he has no reason to, he is a good employee and been wth his company for 4 or 5? years now) but I don't know how I could function still waking up twice a night too feed and now having to walk through the house to her room 😴 I value my little naps that I can take if I want throughout the day. someday I'll go back to work, but we're going to try for baby #2 first.

I nanny a boy who is almost the same age as my son just twice a week. Other days I do something different every day such as library one day, running errands/grocery shopping another day, park once in a while, having a movie "night" in the middle of the day, etc. sometimes we go visit grandparents or cousins. Find some other stay at home moms to have play dates. There's lots of options to keep from getting bored :) just don't make it too busy!

I work. Initially, I thought I wanted to stay home, but the older my son got (he's 3.5 yo now), the more I realized he needs the interaction and structure of daycare/preschool. He is super high energy and I know I would have struggled keeping him entertained.
