Angry over Gender Reveals
On fb today, a video was shared about a dad finding out during his wife's delivery, that after three girls, he was getting a son. He was ecstatic, shouted his excitement, and was obviously over the moon. While most people shared in his reaction, there were women who just had to jump in and berate him for expressing himself how he did...one woman in particular claimed she felt sorry for him to have had such a "lame reaction" as she put it, stating she hopes his daughters never have to see that video and feel so hurt by it. Is it really so wrong for a parent to be excited about having a son or daughter? I notice more and more people focusing on these parents, shaming dads for wanting sons and women wanting daughters, even when there's plenty of women who want sons and men who want daughters. Why aren't people allowed to enjoy and celebrate their new additions without idiotic criticism?! I came from a family of all women who only birthed females, my daughter was my firstborn, and I had my first son in 2015 (you can bet your ass I was stoked)! I always knew I'd have a son one day, and by December I'll have 2 :) Did you want/hope for a girl or boy?
