IUD and Painful Sex??

I had my Mirena inserted in January of this year. Well, ever since then, sex can sometimes be painful, especially when he goes deep. It also hurts to the point that I can't do certain positions. I've even had ultrasounds to make sure it's in place. Is that normal? Or has anyone else experienced this?

If he goes too deep and hits your cervix it will definitely hurt. I've had mine for 2 and a half years, and if my boyfriend goes too deep and hits my cervix no matter what position I am in, it hurts bad! I always feel for my strings after to make sure he didn't mess anything up lol but, you just need to tell him to be more careful. I've had to tell my boyfriend to not go so deep. We still can have really good rough sex but no matter what it can really hurt your cervix. It is very normal and the IUD is such a reliable BC. So no worries, just let him know to be easy if he accidentally hits it!
