Elective C-section

This is the first month we have decided to TTC. I know this can be a controversial topic, but I was wondering if anyone has had an elective c-section and what your reason was for having one? I was assaulted at a young age, and just have a really hard time even thinking about giving birth vaginally. I'm also a nurse, so I've seen my fair share of deliveries. I just get severe anxiety every time I watch.

Also, if you did give birth vaginally and you have gone through anything similar, please share how you overcame your fear. Thank you ladies in advance!
