Pure red blood

My last two periods have been pure red blood with no clots.... is this normal?

I do suffer bad cramps when on my period and have done since I started 10 years ago but normally its dark blood with clots, but the last haven't been, just wondered if any of you girls may know why it bright red with no clots, hoping it is normal and it doesn't mean there something wrong with me.
