Passport?

Long story short...
My sons 'dad' is no longer in the picture. Hasn't been for a year, never really was from the start. He abused me phisically and mentally.
I'm now currently with my new partner  who is the most amazing daddy I could wish for in my sons life..
Well we want to go on a family holiday but my sons 'dad' is on the birth certificate, obvs has his last name.. Will I need consent from him to take him out the country? Even though there is domestic violence and he isn't allowed near us or contact?

Yes, I had to get a form signed and notarized from his sperm donor for a passport. Believe me, it was painful. And I have sole custody. He has visitation (that he doesn't use)

My mom got full custody of us so she could do whatever she wanted. She always brought the custody papers with us when travelling but they were never asked for.

Try and get full custody then you can do / take him wherever. I had to do that.
