Weight loss journey

I am starting a weight loss journey. I am not obese, but I am about 20 lbs overweight.

My goal is to lose 25 lbs by March 15. I am counting calories (what a pain in the arse 🙄) and exercising. Currently, I am only walking, as my chiropractor does not advise running right now.

I took before pictures last night and almost cried when I saw them. I was disgusted by how I look, which is going to be a great motivator.

Anyone have any other weight loss suggestions/tips? I'm looking for good ab/core workouts that are simple and are able to be done without equipment or props in a small room.

Also, anyone have favorite low calorie and/or low carb recipes? I am on a 1200 calorie diet for 2 meals and a snack throughout the day. I am doing week-long meal prep with portion control. I need meals that are simple, inexpensive and will keep. Please no fish or seafood recipes.
