How to tell..

So I don’t have the best relationship with my Dad - I only met him when I was 16. He owns his own business and often flies internationally. I’m lucky if I see him a few times a year. Our only form of communication is through texting. We never ring.

I sent him a meme last year which had an ultrasound picture - his reply: “don’t scare me like that”. He’s only 44 - I’m 25.

How the hell do I tell him I’m pregnant? I am so incredibly excited, but I know I’m not going to get the best reception from him. Do I try to remember that not once has he ever prioritised me? Does he deserve all this angst?

I hate this part. 😞
