What to do...genetic testing.
I got a call from the doc's office today about my genetic tests (the one with the ultrasound and 2 blood tests at different times of pregnancy. Idk if it's a standard thing or a California thing).
Good news: my first blood draw & ultrasound turned out fine. Nothing to be concerned about.
Bad news: the lab spilled my blood from the 2nd draw so they couldn't test it.
Doc's says it's optional, but so is the whole genetic test in the first place.
I hate getting my blood drawn. As in, I pass out or get anxiety kinda hate.
So my question is-do I go back and get the 2nd test done again? Or do I just hope all is well because of the other things were ok?
I'm worried that if I don't get it done and I was charged for it then I'm wasting my money. On the other hand if I get the test done again the lab my try to charge my insurance again and then I'll have to fight it. Is it worth it? I'm less worried that something may show up, but you never know.
I have to decide soon because I'm almost at 20 weeks. Just hoping for some thoughts.
Thanks!
