Non-cry-it-out parenting?

So my baby isn't even 3 months old yet and my parents and older sister are saying I'm a lazy parent for not letting my baby cry it out and for having to rock her to sleep and stuff at night 😡
I just needed someone to tell this too.

How is that lazy? I feel like cry it out is lazy? I don't agree w cio. I rock my LO too, she's 10 months. Super lazy here I guess :)

3 months old is too early for babies to know how to self soothe. You wanna know why babies cry? Because they NEED something. Even if it’s just to be close to you. Lazy parenting is not meeting your child’s needs.

How is that lazy? I can’t stand hearing my LO cry... if they believe in the CIO method good for them.. thats their parenting preference

That doesn't make sense. My little girl is 13 months olds and I have not sleep trained her at all, I'm against CIO but that's just me. She gets snuggled to sleep, take 10mins.

To me, it’s lazy parenting to make your child cry themselves to sleep 🤷🏻‍♀️ you’re being a good, active parent and you know your child beat. Don’t let them upset you like that!

They need to mind their own business. I take no issue with CIO when it is used under the parents constant supervision. Meaning you don’t just leave a baby to cry! That’s neglect not CIO. However if you’re not comfortable with CIO it’s no one else’s call.

Cio works. But shouldn’t be tried before the baby is 8-10 mos old. 3 months is way way too young.
