Metformin and pregnancy

I was diagnosed with PCOS at the end of September after my early pap. My Ob put me on Metformin and on a hormone pill to help me get my period since I have had one in months.. my question is... has anyone ever had positive stories or had luck getting their period again on their own the following month after being in hormone pills and then just taking the Metfornmin? My hubs and I have been trying for about a year to have baby 2 and are really hoping to have another soon
