Heart racing?

I am currently 12 weeks pregnant. From the earlier weeks I will randomly feel my heart start to beat very fast. At first I would freak out and have to focus on breathing until it would stop. It felt what I would imagine a panic attack feels like, but I've never had one. It randomly happens even if I'm not doing anything. I googled it and saw some articles saying it's normal in pregnancy but I've never actually talked to anyone who had it happen. Any one else out there had this happen?

Yep. It’s normal. Lots of new blood and hormones. Mine went away after a few weeks.

I have a heart problem, happens all the time. just wanted to say that when it happens, breathing in cold air helps like if it's cold outside, go out there for a while or get a bag of ice & breath from it & defiantly sit down & stay calm. panicking can make it worse.

It is usually normal. It is due to increased blood volume and blood flow. If you are concerned go get checked. I had the same thing all through my pregnancy with my son. Then later it was breathing. Felt like I could never catch my breath. Don't worry too much just try and relax. To ease your mind getting checked wouldn't be a bad thing.

yes, it's normal.  it's the extra blood produced by pregnancy. even when u sit down and do nothing,  Ur heart can race. that aside, now it's time to start remembering that u should always get up and sit down slowly and take it easy on urself.  if u get light headed, u need to drink more water.
