Late ovulation = less viable pregnancy?

I’ve read a few places that ovulating past CD day 16 results in less chance in getting pregnant and possibly a less viable pregnancy due to the age of the uterine lining. Has anyone else heard this or know anything about it? Any other late ovulaters?

I've read that it's past day 20 that it could be a problem, not because of the age of the lining but the age of the egg, leading to higher risk of chromosomal abnormalities (and thus miscarriage). I ovulate late (it's been as late as CD27), so I'm taking vitex to try to get that egg released earlier.
