Should I️ be worried?

My LO is 7 months old and she is still not sitting on her own. Any suggestions on what I️ should do, should she be sitting already? Anything to help her with mastering that milestone? New mommy here having anxiety over it!

Answer

When baby is lying down, hold their legs and show them a toy they want. This will get them to try and sit up, but with you holding their legs down it will be easier. The ab/core strength needed to sit up and hold the position doesn’t just get there overnight, so try to remember to do this once per diaper change.

My daughter is 4 months and my dr said if I have one of those nursing pillows to put it around her belly and let her sit.
