Keep it or lose it ?

Okay so i’m 16, and i’ve been wanting to lose my virginity for a while now. Every time i’ve gotten close, something happens🤦🏽‍♀️ and i have an idea of who i would want to lose it to and i’ve mentioned it to them but idk if i’m supposed to hint it more or just wait until they say something 🤨 any advice ?

I'm not going to tell you what to do or what not to do, I'm just going to tell you my experience. 
I lost my "oral" virginity at 16, and "full" virginity at 18, and let me tell you.. I completely regret it. I thought I was completely mature and ready and knew all I need to know, but I couldn't have been more wrong. It wasn't until a couple months after it happened that I felt horrible about it and felt so dirty. Granted, I lost it to someone who didn't deserve it, but regardless, I was not ready. 
I thought I knew my body really well and knew how sex/pregnancy worked, but I didn't. I was clueless. Luckily I was always safe, but I wish I had waited until I was in a long-term committed and loving relationship like I am now. My boyfriend (now fiancé) was a virgin when I met him, and I only wish I would've waited until I met him to lose it. 
Sex is such an intimate, special thing (not for all people, but a lot) and I didn't view it that way when I was younger. I wish I hadn't been so careless when giving it away, and had waited. So don't feel the need to rush. You have FOREVER to have sex, I'd pick being a kid for awhile longer. You don't want to regret anything.  
However, if after reading all of this you're still set on losing your virginity... study. Learn your cycle: ovulation and fertile windows, when you expect your period, etc. ALWAYS use protection. Get on some type of birth control and use confirms as well. Become educated about everything: the risks, the complications, the emotional aspect to having sex, and THEN make an informed decision. ♥️
