My husband and I are fighting over money. All day, he hasn't been talking to me/grunting answers. I've tried to discuss it with him many times, and break the ice. He is still majorly sulking. I am at a loss for what to do! I can't stand being in close quarters with someone who refuses to discuss things!

Its one thing to say “i need an hour to collect my thoughts and emotions so we can have a constructive conversation”. Its another to sulk for an indefinite period of time with no end in sight.

Talk so much to the point where it annoys him.  Sometimes I start making fun of Star Wars and calling the characters wrong names (he's a big fan).  Then when he finally snaps and either laughs or talks to me to correct me, I ask if he's done being a grumpy shit and if we can talk about xyz Now like normal adults.

Men deal with arguments differently the best thing to do is wait until he is ready to talk about it and be open when he finally is. Don't wait and then when he is ready say "finally" or something that negates the positive thing you just did by giving him the time he needs.

when he's ready to talk, talk about how his behavior makes YOU feel (I feel ignored, frustrated, anxious, annoyed). Don't point the finger at him and call him names, otherwise you won't get to the real issues, and he may revert back to not communicating.
