What do you look for in a daycare? 
Should everyone working there be certified in first aid and cpr?
Does it have to have separate playgrounds for infants and toddlers? 
Does it have to be NAEYC accredited? 
Home daycare? Nursery school? Chain nursery school? 
What are your preferences and suggestions?

Answer

Everyone should either be trained or certified in first aid and cpr. They should have the place secure and safe. Our family friend owns a day care and they have a system that has a pin to open the first door then there's gate that has to be opened by the worker or owner. I think that's pretty cool. 
My little cousin was in a similar one. She had different sections and she would be with kids around her age, they would do activities and play and learn stuff. They were also fed good meals. I don't think they have to be an accredited facility as I believe the kids don't really need to be taught at the same level as an elementary/ prek child.
I'd look for security, first aid/cpr trained workers, a place to keep my child busy and happy (activities and educational stuff), a place where they can eat a good meal. Someone who can help my kid (if old enough) with their simple homework. A place that will have rules like vaccination required, potty trained (if old enough), anti allergy stuff (no nuts allowed, etc) and things of that nature that might concern you. A place that can work with my schedule. All of these are things to keep in mind.
