sleeping??

my daughter is 3 weeks old and she sleeps pretty good but only in her rock and play.. wakes up everytime i put her in the bassinet- its like she knows when she's in there.. i notice when we do tummy time she falls asleep on her tummy.. can i put her like that to sleep in her bassinet? or any tips to help her sleep in her bassinet?

Swaddling and white noise helped our guy in his bassinet. I hold him for 20-30 minutes after his last bottle for the night and let him fall asleep / get to a deep sleep. Most of the time hes on his tummy for this and transitions well onto his back. At 6 weeks he started sleeping 1030-7/8am.

Look up SIDS. They should have made you watch a series of videos before you left the hospital. It's not advisable to let a newborn sleep on their stomach.

Give baby some more time to adjust. At only three weeks things are still very new. The rock and play is nice because the sides are higher and baby feels more enclosed which is familiar to them because of the womb. You could look into dock a tot or a noise machine that has a heart beat noise. Swaddles may help. Ask your pediatrician about tummy sleeping before you do that. It's usually not advised because of their weak muscles and risk of sids.
