Vaginal delivery healing- smell?

Embarrassing question - I had a vaginal delivery 3 weeks ago with a couple of stitches.  The bleeding has stopped but there is still some clear discharge and I do feel a little sore.  I feel like there is a bit of a distinct smell coming from my vagina.   Is that normal and it’s the fluid that I read will be there for about 6-8 weeks or it may be an infection?  I’ll be seeing the dr for my 6 week checkup in about 2 weeks but wanted to know from your experience.  Thanks ladies!

Lochia does have a distinct smell. It’s not pleasant, but it’s also not a problem.
With both my births I had that until about 6 weeks. Perfectly normal! It goes away once the brown/yellow discharge stop.

It’s going to smell. I bled for 6 weeks and my midwife warned me I would smell terrible or like rotten meat. The reason is, our insides are very moist and now there’s a hole where the placenta used to be it takes longer to heal because of all the moister inside of us. It’ll go away but it sounds pretty normal!

There shouldn’t be a smell....
Have you looked at it? 
Bleeding at this point is still normal, but you say there isn’t any and that’s normal too. 
A distinct smell is never normal.   I’d be making an appointment

A distinct smell usually isn't normal.. I had BV about 4 weeks after delivery, you should make a sooner doctors appointment to get the discharge swabbed incase you have an infection and need antibiotics!

Lochia does have a smell, so that’s normal. What’s not normal is if it smells like a dead animal. If it’s about the same level smell as your period, you’re fine.
