Advice please??
I live in southern Mississippi and my entire family lives in Indiana, my husband is also deployed and won’t be able to come home for my birth. My mom and mother in law and other family from Indiana came down for thanksgiving. I’m 39 weeks pregnant and last night we had a scare thinking this was it so we went to L&D; but got sent home. I’m 2cm dilated 50% effaced and at stage -2. While in L&D; I had a bit of a break down realizing that I’m alone down here once the family heads back up Sunday. I started throwing around the idea of driving back home with them. It’s about a 12 hour drive. I’d either make the drive with them or when the baby is a week old. Any advice or opinions on if this is a safe option. My mom is a doc and my MIL is a OB nurse and told me as long as we stop every few hours to move I’d be okay. Should I be worried about traveling for that long, am I putting my baby at risk for health problems??
