Eating ice causing labor to stop?

Guys, I think my husband has officially lost it. Throughout this whole pregnancy I’ve been craving ice. And yes my iron levels are fine. Anyway, I ended up in the hospital yesterday for false labor.😑 He called me today while he was a work to tell me to stop eating ice. One of his co workers told him that me eating ice or drinking something really cold could cause labor to stop. It apparently can soothe contractions? I know he’s really excited and getting impatient like I am but has he lost his mind? Or is he right?
