I have oral thrush

I woke up with what I thought was a sore throat and I blew it off since its cold season and little did I know till I was brushing my teeth tonight that my tongue was white and patchy chunky looking and where it wasn't white it's raw and bleeding. and the sides of my mouth are cracked and raw. I'm in school for medical assisting and I just learned about thrush last month and decided to look up images of thrush and it's exactly what's going on with me. my mom said I'm full of shit since I'm not a doctor. it hurts so much. what can help me? any tips will help please since I doubt my mom is going to take me to the doctors since I just finished getting over my antibiotic for bacteria vagenosis today actually. help please!!!!!
