PAIN RELIEF DURING LABOR HELP!

My water is being broken today at 12pm so in only an hour, this is my second and with my first they royally fucked up the epidural that never took but were afraid they paralyzed me so because of that experience I'd really rather not even try for an epidural. I was told my other options are morphine or fetanyl. Has anyone had either during labor? Were you out of it? How did it feel? Did it make you nauseous? Were you with it enough to enjoy seeing your baby for the first time? I'm clueless to it so just looking to see people's experiences. I may go without anything again but would like to have some info so if I really can't stand the pain I feel okay choosing another pain relief method.
