Tylenol yes? Or no?

My baby is clearly teething but how do I know when to give him Tylenol as he can not physically tell me when he is in pain ?

I mean if you cant tell if he is innpain, its probably not bugging him too bad. Tylenol really should only be a last resort.

I use Tylenol as a last resort, I don't want to get the babies body immune to it. If he's screaming and nothing else works chances are that's when to give it. if he's cranky and mad try other things. frozen fruit in a masher, teething toy, frown bananas. If he's cranky when I put him to bed I'll give him some.

I've always had the same question.. I don't like giving my son meds unless I absolutely have to. Normally, I'll only give it to him if he wakes up crying and is inconsolable. Sometimes I'll offer him a teether to see if that's the issue. If it doesn't help him, sometimes I think that maybe it's gas... but if it does help (usually only temporarily) then I assume it's pain from teething and we give him Tylenol. We usually only give it to him once within a 24 hour period, and it's only if nothing else works.

I give Tylenol if my son is fussy or crying at bedtime when he normally isn’t and has other signs of teething (for him it’s excessive drooling and chewing on his fingers). We don’t use it that often, he doesn’t usually have issues with teething.

In my experience with my daughter we will do Advil for teething IF and only if teething is stopping her from sleeping or playing. Usually she will be super fussy, crying a lot red cheeks, biting fingers, drooling lots and chomping on random items. If teething is distressing your babes then go for some medicine to help. Usually night times and naps are when it flares up the worst for babies/toddlers.
