Can smoking marijuana affect fertility??? 🤔

My DH has smoked marijuana since he was 17 and is now 30. We have been TTC for a year now and I ovulated 3 times in the past 5 months but no success.  When I tel him that smoking is affecting his sperm, he looks at me like I’m crazy and won’t budge to go see a specialists.  Am I wrong or can smoking affect a mans sperm??? My best friend's husband smoked weed every day of his life from the age of 16 to now. he still smokes, they have 4 beautiful children from the age of 10 to 4. Sadly she passed away 2 years ago from Cervical cancer. She never smoked. My  brothers both smoke one of them actually took steroids and they both have 3 children each 2 beautiful girls each 1 handsome son each. Just trust GOD and when your time comes it will happen.

Go to pub.med and search the studies, it lowers sperm count fairly significantly.

I'm the result of pot head parents. My step-brother, who has smoked the whacky weed, has 4 kids. I have no kids. I think (from a non-professional standpoint) there are other factors that are the issue.

my partner smoked it from sixteen to 30 and we got pregnant straight away so no i dont think it does

My husband uses medical marijuana and we researched this before TTC. Not a lot of studies have been done, but what studies there are show that it effects his sperm count about the same as being in a hot tub or wearing tight pants on a hot summer day. However, not really any studies have been done on how it effects the quality of the sperm. As in, are you more likely to have birth defects or miscarry because of defective sperm. That isn't clear yet.
