Traveling to Mexico??

So I just found out I'm pregnant! My best friend is getting married in Cancun, Mexico in June! Where I am a bridesmaid. I will be around 6 months along. Does anyone know if it is safe to travel there with the risk of Zika? I will definitely ask my OB  at my first appointment but wanted to see if anyone knew the answer first.

My doctor said no as well.  Mexico is one of the hot spots.

Nope. unfortunately if you're planning a destination wedding these are things you'll have to consider. We're getting married in July, wanted a destination wedding, and specifically chose Hawaii to avoid Zika so that wouldn't hinder anyone from coming 🤷 Otherwise we would have 100% gone the cheaper route and went to Mexico!

I went to Mexico on a vacay when I was 18 weeks pregnant with my first and was totally fine. Just spray lots of anti bug spray. I didn't get bit at all. This was in 2016. Talk to your OB
