I would assume it’s just how your skin heals.

Massage it every day twice a day with oil. You’ll feel tough hard tissue around it and just go slowly how you feel comfortable trying to sort of soften it and rub out the hard pieces. You can probably find videos on YouTube for csection scar massage, my osteopath showed me how to do it. Once it’s softer you can massage less often, I never did long massages just until I felt like stopping and I  feel like it made a huge difference. But your skin will also have its own way of healing that contributes to how it looks.

8.5 months PP. mine is red and raised as well.

I think you have a lot of scar tissue and that's why you're has that appearance but it doesn't look like there's anything wrong with it
