Fall semester starts the end of August and my due date is either late August or early September. I’m struggling with deciding if I need to take the semester off or not?

honestly if you can afford to i would. not only is giving birth a huge thing, but having a newborn is exhausting. its not that you couldnt go to go too, but it will be much less stressful to not.

I’ve decided to take summer classes so I don’t get behind on my degree plan. I will take fall semester off to recover and spend time with the baby. Thank you all for your comments!

If you can afford to take the semester off, do so. IDK how I’d make through with a newborn and a full schedule of classes and studying. Definitely return the following semester. Child care might be an issue for you as well. In my neck of the woods, the youngest some center’s will take children is at 6 months of age. The first few months are important for you and your baby.

I went back to school at 22. Now, 25 and expecting #2...he’s due during finals week! I already emailed my professors before the semester began to get syllabi and any course material to get ahead. 
Since we planned this I switched to completely online classes with my university. My mother also moved in with us. So that’ll help out a lot. 
I think you really have to think about your time commitments and who is going to help. Talk to your family and your SO.
