Do you think it's bad watch scary movies while pregnant?

I want to watch the new insidious movie but I'm 7 week pregnant and some of my fam thinks I'm horrible for it that it will scare the baby I know the baby won't get scared but is there a reason not too watch it?

Watching that movie is not going to affect the baby, BUT if you are going to be super anxious watching it, don’t do it. Serious stress can spike your BP. But if you’re a thriller movie pro and love that kind of movie, go for it!

as long as you can handle scary movies, you should be fine 😌 just try not to get your heart rate up which is i believe one of the reasons why some people don’t advice it.

I selected yes but only because my husband talked me into seeing paranormal activity back in 2014. I love the paranormal (love Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, Haunted America, etc.) so the movie was right up my ally. The movie dealt with the occult and pregnancy. I made it through the film but I was definitely paranoid and pissed afterward. You can definitely watch whatever you want, just be aware that you might not react the same way you did pre-pregnancy to things you typically enjoy.

I watched it and im 4 weeks honestly it was good but wasnt that scary if your someone who jumps alot at movies then i would say dont go but if u watch them because u love them and not so jumpy then go ahead nothing to worry about one movie thats like 2 hours isnt going to do detrimental damage or any damage on the baby if u do that everyday however that can cause damage

Awh, I can’t believe your family is stressing you out over it. Do you remember if your mom watched scary movies when she was pregnant with you? Do you think anything she did in her day to day life during that time affects you now? Me either! Relax. Watch the movie if you want. It might scare you but it won’t harm the baby. (P.S. I’ve seen insidious before, and it’s creepy for sure, but it was too weird and quirky for me to feel deeply disturbed).
