Vbac vs Repeat section
I am struggling. I know there is a risk of uterine rupture however it's only 1% as of all the articles I've read... I had a horrible time with healing from my section with my son. I ended up back in the hospital before he was even a week old with an incision infection. The doctor had to take out my staples and pop pockets of blood and puss and drain them immediately (when I say immediately I mean they didn't even have time to give me pain meds before he did this so i was wide open as he was pushing down on my tummy 😭 - I was in the hospital for a week and almost became septic and almost got flesh eating disease). Then about a week after I got discharged I was back in there with what they thought was a blood clot. The pregnancy was good although I did have really high blood pressure due to the pregnancy. I was induced because of it. I was in Labour for 15.5 hours before he went into distress and had to have the section. They said he had a knot in the umbilical cord which is why he wasn't dropping and why I wasn't progressing.
So far.... no high blood pressure. I'm 20 weeks due at the end of May, and with my boy I had the hypertension at like 11 weeks..
Thoughts? Opinions? I need help deciding whether to risk the vbac or go with a section again. It was just a horrible experience for me and baby as I was in the hospital and he was not allowed to be with me..
