Military ID/ insurance!?!

Hi everyone, I live in Maryland and I just received my Id. Do all hospitals accept Tricare? Or do I have to look for a specific one in my area? Google’s not helping and neither is the DEERS department.

I believe they do. If you use a hospital on base I’m positive they will accept it. You can always call the hospital yourself and ask for the billing department and ask them.

Tricare’s website “find a doctor” you can google “tricare find a doctor” and it will one of the first few listings.

Depends on the tricare level and how far you live from the hospital. To deliver at a civilian hospital if you live within a certain distance of a military hospital you’ll have to switch from tricare prime to standard if there isn’t one close by then your good to stay on prime.

You'll need to login to your Tricare provider and they should be able to tell you the doctors that participate. You can always call individual doctors as well.
