10 yr old trans child starts trans app for kids

Ignoring the fact that whoever wrote the article misgendered this child and really needs to understand how to use quotation marks... am I the only one who thinks this is a terrible idea for an app? I understand Desmond wants a haven for transgender children and I understand the desire, but this just sounds like hate crimes, stalking, and child molestation waiting to happen. How could this be monitored? Even adult dating & meetup websites have issues with predators, imagine a similar app for KIDS. I think Desmond’s parents have forgotten they are still a child and need to be protected.
