When will you announce baby's name?!

My husband and I already have names picked up for a boy and a girl. I'm trying to decide if I want to announce the name when we find out the gender (next week) or after birth?!

True that people are rude, but it's also true that someone will always find something to say.. for us, we will announce when we find out the gender. Honestly, neither one of us gives a damn what others have to say. This is our child, and if they don't like the name, well, too bad.

everyone in our family already know what first names we have picked out for either a boy or girl. We will announce the middle names after we find out the gender. there isn't a person in either sides of our family crass enough to make a stink about the name we choose for our child.

We will be doing it after because we have surprise middle names . If it’s a girl it will be Helene for my auntie who passed last year and if it’s a boy the middle name will be Bruce for his grandma ( who was like his dad ) who passed 2 years ago :) so we don’t wanna spoil that until then. First names were so stuck on thou 😑 he likes boring I like unique haha

everyone in our family knows the boy name already, we've had it picked out for years. So if it's a boy they will already know, if it's a girl idk if we will know what we will name her yet. we may not know until she's born. I go back and forth on 2 names. I probably won't make an annoucement on social media until baby is born, I have some preggo friends and I don't want Anyone to steal it lol

We have first names but not middle. We find out in 3 weeks so I don’t think we’ll have it by then. Probably birth 😊

Someone always has something to say. I keep it hush on names, it was so peaceful with my last pregnancy. It didn’t stop inlaws from suggestions and letting us know names they didn’t like, but it didn’t matter they were not even close to what we actually chose.

I think people give unwarranted opinions about everything. Including the name you chose for YOUR baby. Me and my husband don’t even pick names until after they are born, but even if we did I wouldn’t tell people. I would just say “we haven’t decided yet”. People are rude, even if they don’t try to be.

The name we had picked for our son didn’t fit him when we finally met him, so we had to get to know who he was for a few days before settling on what we were going to call him. 
So I’m really glad we didn’t announce anything beforehand. Plus, people can be assholes about what name you choose beforehand but are less likely to say something to your face if the baby is already arrived and named

Definitely after  birth. My kids are 10 and 8 and I still don't ' announce' their names. I put their first initial on social media and such. Only people close to us know their names.
