Tips on getting baby to sleep in his crib?

My son has only slept in a bassinet type thing next to my bed that was a bit on an incline because he had reflux.

Well, he no longer fits in it so I’m trying to get him to sleep in his crib. He’ll nap in but does not sleep through the night in it.

The past few days he’s been sick so I let him sleep with me but I really don’t believe in sharing a bed because of the danger and because my husband won’t sleep in the bed if the baby is there (for safety reasons, he sleeps like a tornado).

Do any of you moms have any tips on how to get him to sleep through the night? He’s 8 months old if that helps
