Baby measuring big?

Question

I'm 37w1d and have gained about 27 pounds so far. The doctor says I'm measuring slightly ahead even though I'm still fairly small. My husband is a tall guy so he wants me to get an ultrasound next week to make sure. I have friends who have gained more than 40 pounds and had small babies. Unfortunately I know it's not always black and white. Any one out there gave birth to a big baby even though they stayed within normal weight gain? If so, how big?

I gained 50 lbs with both my previous pregnancies. I've also measured larger. At 38 weeks i measured 42. I had healthy 7 lb babies and returned to pre pregnancy weight. Pregnant with twins this time and hoping for the same outcome

I've gained 20 lbs and get regular ultrasounds because he's been measuring so big my whole pregnancy and today he measured 9 lb 11 oz. I'm 37+4.

I was measuring big with my first...had an ultra sound at 37 weeks and 40 (day before she was born). They thought she was going to be 9+ pounds but was only 8.3 so just beware there's not a precise measurement and don't let it stress you out . I'm on the smaller size - 5'3" and gained 30 lbs. my husband is 6-4" so again OB was concerned for a big baby.

I gained 30lbs with my first and he was 9lbs 😊 second will be close to that if not bigger and I'm on track for gaining more like 20lbs this time.

I haven't given birth yet but I've gained almost 40 lbs and my 32 week ultrasound showed baby right on target.
