Best birth control?

I have my check up with my OB later this week & I need to decide what birth control I’m getting. What did you chose & how is it working for you? Would you suggest what birth control you got? Why or why not?

Everyone is different and the best birth control for one person might not be the best for another. Some people swear by IUDs but my sister had one and had to have emergency surgery to have it removed so I personally dont feel comfortable with them. I loved depo the first time i was on it and then liked it less the second time i was on it and it can cause delays in having babies if that’s something you may want in the next few years. I had one friend love the nexplanon arm implant, and another gained a lot of weight and hated it.
Point is, everyone has different priorities when picking out birth controls. Id speak with your doctor and go from there.

It's been almost 10 years, but when I did use birth control, I liked the Nuvaring. I honestly don't even know if it's still on the market. Apparently some women had bad reactions to it, but it supposedly uses the same hormone as the pill. I couldn't always remember to take the pill, and I don't like the idea of an implant.

I'm going to get the Copper IUD (Paraguard). After researching it it sounds like a very effective and non hormonal method of contraception. I've never been interested in taking something that alters hormones. The side effects can be pretty tough with those.
