Pain during Sex

So me and my bf had sex a couple of days ago and when he put it in it hurt. I didn't tell him because I thought it was normal since we haven't had sex in a while. After we had sex, my vagina was hurting and it felt like there was a cut down there, and today I was bleeding. I had to put a tampon in because I didn't have a pad and when I did that it hurt. Is it normal that I'm bleeding? I have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday to see, so hopefully it's nothing!!
