Does any one else 5 year old do this??

He’s always touching my face or lightly pinching me or hitting me when he’s talking to me. He’s done this for as long as I can remember and I tell him not too.. but he continues to do it like he’s not aware of it or something idk. He’s always gotta be touching something or messing with something.

Do you think he’s trying to mimic affection? I constantly touch my kids when they talk (adjust their clothes, smooth their hair, rub their arm, etc) and I notice my eldest does the same to me (sometimes odd things like touch my eyelashes 😂, but I get she’s trying to just do what I do). It could be his interpretation of what he sees or maybe just a stimulation thing. I think it’s normal for most kids that age to have difficulty being still. If you think it’s more than that, then speak to the pediatrician and ease your mind.
