Depo-Should I be worried?

I got my very first depo shot in December AND it is also the first time I’ve ever been on birth control. The whole month of December I didn’t have a period and half of January I didn’t bleed, but the end of January I had a regular 5 day period and it was done. Now, lately I’ve been spotting here and there. Should I be worried?!

Don’t be worried birth control causes spotting especially the depo!! They say it takes 3-6 months for your body to adjust!

i’ve been on the depo shot for about a year now, and that’s completely normal. birth control seems to always cause period problems. i used to get mine every month with little spotting & i just got my period again after not having it for almost 2 months. and it’s still just spotting. it’s normal! don’t worry lol

I’ve recently found out the dangers of Depo-Provera and honestly I am disturbed. Depo-Provera causes infertility, ovarian & breast cancer STUDIES PROVE IT‼️ They want women of color to be INFERTILE‼️ Did you know that Depo-Provera was disapproved by the FDA three times because of its link to cancer found in studies tested on animals. The government has been testing medication on the poor for years‼️ I really want to save another young woman especially WOC from making the same mistake I’ve made. Research Research Research and educate yourselves. No one deserves to be robbed out of a decision that should ultimately be theirs. I was on the depo for about 9 months and it completely took my period away. And then when I stopped getting the shot it took about 8 months for my period to come back.
