I got to experience going into labor naturally and it was everything I hoped for! Kinda Long....

I was induced with my first and scheduled for a csection with this baby so I never thought I’d get to experience going into labor on my own. Boy was I wrong! Wednesday night I came home from work and was crazy tired but other than that I felt fine. No contractions or anything. I cooked dinner, fed my daughter( She’s 13months)

Did some laundry, and then fell asleep after my lo went to bed. Around 1am I woke up feeling like I peed myself. Now mind you baby has kicked my bladder so hard before I actually have peed myself, so I cleaned up and laid back down. 15 minutes later it happened again. This is when I got a little suspicious. I changed my pants again and laid back down. I actually fell back asleep until Ablut 2-230Am when I heard my lo wake up fussing. As soon as I picked her up out of her crib...

And it just kept coming! I quickly changed my lo and ran to get my husband. I told him this was it and we needed to go!

We dropped our daughter off with my mother in law around 3am, picked up my mom, and we were off to the hospital! My dr was not on call that night so the on call dr gave me the option to wait on doing my surgery until my dr came in at 730am unless I started having serious contractions at which point they would go ahead and take me in. At this point it was 4-430 so I said I’d try to wait it out! I only had a couple of contractions in that time and they were not painful at all! I made it until my dr arrived!

They prepped me, took me in at 730am, and at 7:57am my sweet Oaklyn Faye entered the world!

She inhaled a lot of fluid so her oxygen levels weren’t great at first but she’s doing great now! I am also breastfeeding for the first time and that is going pretty well. Sometimes it’s hard to get her to latch correctly but once we get. Good latch she’s a champ!

I finally feel like my little family is complete! Sorry it was so long but thanks so much for sharing in my birth story!!
