Ovulation after D&C?

Question

So is the bleeding after D&C; considered a period? Do you ovulate before your next natural period? I have heard of people getting pregnant right after their D&C; and I don’t know how that’s possible... should I start taking ovulation tests? I was planning on waiting for my first natural period...

I had my cycle about 2 weeks after my D&C; and was pregnant the next month with my daughter. I’m sorry for your loss and hope this helps.

Honestly, I think it’s just better to give your body ( and heart) time to heal and also waiting till after at least 1 natural cycle will just give you much better clarity and lessen the confusion of when or how far along you are. Also no, the bleeding after D&C; or miscarriage doesn’t count as a period. You can physically get pregnant the cycle after a MC but it is just less likely because your cycle has to regulate. 🙏❤️🤞
